Has anyone raised the transom height on the minimaxed to 20"? I ask because I have a Nissan 6 hp motor with a long shaft that is already set up for remote control. The other option is to convert the motor to short shaft but then I couldn't use it on my other boat without reconverting it. Any thoughts?

I don't think it would be a problem raising the transom up to accomodate your motor. Add some height to the coamings to help strengthen the transom a bit. Have fun!!!!

I know have to decide whether to drive to Austin (366 miles), Fort Worth (350 miles) or Houston (550 miles) for marine plywood or use ACX available locally. I have to go to San Antonio in 4 weeks anyway so a side trip to Austin wouldn't be bad. I want to start now though!
