Thanks.

Must give credit to my 16 year old son. He decided the Paint scheme, and did a great job on fairing it. Also my Wife did her part in making the seats, so it was a real family-project at the finish line. :D

Looks really nice just sitting there. Bet it will look even better flying along the water. Love the paint scheme and the deck finish.

Hello again folks!

The spring is coming here, and we are soon ready to finally test our Squirt. The autum and a faulty motor stopped us from testing last year. Now we have fixed the cooling problems with our Mercury 200 (20HP) from 1972.

Before I let my son enjoy this boat alone, I want to add a safety switch Lanyard. Does anyone here know how to do that on a Mercury Thunderbolt 200 (20HP) ???

Hi Fred,
I'm sure your test run will be a big success. It is really a sharp looking boat. :D
I'm going to test my Squirt next week, also. I have the same motor you have except it's a 1968. Took lots of work to get running.

That is cool Steve :D Did you make a safety kill-switch system? I looked at your thread, no splash yet? I guess you let us know!

No splash yet...... :( I will let you know. :D
I did not add a safety switch but I did have to add a push-button off switch. The ignition switch I have on the control unit will only run the starter. It has problems. ..
The old motor had lots of problems but I hope I got them all fixed.
I hope yours runs great for you.

First test run today
https://youtu.be/d_0ha2PhFi8
We will make more videos later :D :D :D
We got 23 knots with two persons and an old Mercury 20 hp from 1972. Next time we will experiment with the tilt, to see if we can get more speed, but it feels fast, sitting right on the water :D

It is early spring here, and it starts to get warmer. I do love the contrast between blue water and snow white mountains. This test run was done in the fjord, by the marina I use for my other boats. We live by a brackish water lake that is connected to this fjord by a small current. The lake is 4-5 kilometer, and that is a perfect place for my kids to use the Squirt.
