Since it's been about a year, I was wondering how this project is progressing.

Nope, ... Not lately.

I'll bet getting rid of it shortly as I just have way to much on my plate to deal with it.

That's too bad.
I hope it finds it's way into regular use putting smiles on faces someday.

Well, it's to hard to gather friends and family to hit the water. I was only able to take the Sartan out once last year and MAYBE once this year. It just seems silly to keep 2 built boats and 2 uncompleted boats around for just one outing a year. Simply, it's just to much money just sitting around doing nothing

I understand completely! My wife has a ten year old motorcycle with 3k miles on it. She rides once or twice a year.

I own and airplane that I seldom have time to fly (less than an hour in 2014 so far), and I suspect my Zip will hit the water 3-4 times per year. We'll see.

Did you ever get rid of this boat?

No, ... I still have it under tarps in the driveway. The city stopped giving me crap about it since I have no backyard.

I still want to get rid of it since i am unable to ride in them due to medical issues, ... took a bad fall at work, broken hip, 4 hernias and a few front teeth are now missing.

Regards

Bill--it's really good to hear from you. I think about you often and wondered what happened to you. I'm so sorry about the accident and hope you're healing well. Don't be a stranger :D

I found myself staring at these pictures again, wishing it wasn't in California. I'd love to do a simple finish on it, throw on a used 25HP and give it to some friends of mine as a gift!
