Finally starting on the paint. I'm using Interlux Brightside and I really like it so far.

Oooooowwahhh, that looks awesome! Makes me wish I built a TNT...and about half a dozen others! :D A silver stripe where the yellow and white meet might look really sharp also. Thumbs up on a great, great job.

Thanks for the compliment, the white is actually primer and will soon be grey then there will be a black stripe between the grey and yellow.
Thanks Again,
Doug

Making a little more progress. I actually got the trailer far enough along to set the boat on it.

hey Doug, what type of wood was used in the frame construction? And how hard was the build in your opinion? I am considering building the TNT for a High School major project and just asking around. I dream of mine looking as good as yours! It looks so good!

Hi Zac,
Thank You for the compliments.
My TNT was built using lumber available from Lowes or Home Depot. It has a mixture of douglas fir, southern yellow pine, white pine, and exterior grade plywood. I know this is not the proper wood to use but I sealed everything and the exterior is fiberglassed. This boat will also live in the garage except for 10-12 trips to the lake each year.
I have not had this one on the water yet but I hope to make the maiden voyage next weekend.

This is not a hard boat to build at all and the plans are very good and easy to follow. I say go for it, it is a very enjoyable project. If you have any questions along the way I would be glad to help as much as I can.

Great, youre so close you certainly should. I don't think there has ever been a TNT attend one.
