8) I got some work done in last couple of days I scarfed the chime logs, together Boy do I have some clean up to do on them.
Stern.jpg

I put the stern together and mounted it to building form
Chim lods.jpg

the Chime logs ready to install
chimp logs temp set.jpg

the chime log temporary fitted I have a hump between frame one and frame two on both chime logs but can take it out by temporary clamping a four foot level to it to take out the hump it changes the curve going to the bow when I do this. once the side plywood sheeting is installed it should be stable and I can remove the level. Well that is what i have done so far today. I am not that far from sheeting now I do not see much shaping of the chime logs to get the ply wood to make good contact.

 I found out I had a hiccup on my stern frame. I had it out of alinement after I had epoxied the chime logs in I noticed it. I must have set it to soon after my daily meds, I was a half inch off my center mark, it was looking right at me  and the height was wrong got to love side effects to my meds I usually take a nap before I do anything after taking them I think that morning i went straight out and went to work. ( where is my sign  )

 well the winter got my temporary building shop I was using for this build I have to start again on putting another one up the wind took the last one and bent the metal frames to pretzels but the covering survived it and keep the build dry. we have been having a very strange spring going from snow to 80 degree weather in the same day. it should be stabilizing soon so I a can get things uncover and new shop put in. the lakes are open and here I sit with out my fishing boat done. Got to get off my old lazy butt and get some of my many project completed  everybody else projects looks to be coming along great and I see some master pieces being built once again  8)

The area you live in is so beautiful, it's a shame it has to be cold for so long up there. Sorry to hear about the shed. Another item for the list of challenges. Keep on pushing!

the weather just don't want to give me a break I have only been seeing a few hours of sunshine on and off otherwise rain. I am afraid to uncover the boat to work on her and repair the temp build shed. I am feeling like I am living in Ohio again I don't ever remember this much rain here in may heck I have not even got my garden in the ground never drys out long enough to get it tilled. Oh well I get it one of these days

Is that a roughly 1990 Bayliner Capri? Man, I've got fond, fond memories of one of those things!

This was the first boat I ever built, back in the early 80's. I don't know how many blisters I got driving in all the screws by hand! Was a fun little boat, but my brother talked me out of fiberglassing it so it leaked everywhere the first time out. Was fun building though and enjoyed the boat.

Good to see you working on something.I tried an outdoor garden once.decided it's easier in planters Tomatoes and potatoes are going nuts.Could you look in your archives about the Envirotex I'm using for epoxy.(any negative stuff)its epoxy and waterproof mix is 1:1 with hardener.equevalent to 50 coats of varnish.using it with cloth on the bulwarks only so far-might use it to encapsulate floor support timbers.
