Whatchamacallit Thing

Postby geneanthes » Tue Sep 09, 2014 9:16 am

Anyone know what the mast on a trawler is called? Is it just a "mast" or is there a specific term. I'm trying to design one for my tug and was trying to do an image search on google.

You know, the doohickey that looks kind of like a cross, has the white light, and maybe flags hanging from it?

Thanks!

I think these are called Anchor Light Masts. Here is a picture of one from a Chris Craft. I will be adding one of these to my Vera Cruise

I think the hardest part is going to be how to recreate the base and wing metal pieces. I will be going with something different for the top (primarily for legal reasons).
