Got Zipp wet

Postby vwcrash » Mon Jul 18, 2016 7:26 am

Finally got the zipp wet after about 5 years. Of-course the motor was not pumping water so had to cut it short.
But it got wet and floated nice and level on the water line.
Now to take the motor back apart. Oh well. It Floats !!!!

Way to go. It looks nice in the water. Hope your engine is just a water pump rebuild.

Took me 3 times out on the water to get my motor running right. Threw some money at it and got
it fixed. I want that motor on my boat. Love the styling.

Your ZIP looks great! Congratulations. A big achievement

It's cool to see all those hours of labor floating delicately on just a few inches of water. Your boat looks beautiful.
Best of luck with the 1960's vintage 2-smoke. I will hold my tongue as to the functionality of vintage 2-stroke outboards.
Nice work
Matt

Well got the motor all apart and my problem was the water tube and grommets. The tube were misshapen and flared out and the grommets were all ripped. Ordered new of each . thanks for all help. :D
