Flipping a zip frame before sheeting?

Post by Cribbsy » Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:27 am

Hi guys, just wondering at what stage of the build do you think a zip frame could be flipped or removed from the form without the chance of it distorting or springing out of shape? I have the chines, sheer and keel glued in place. I'm about to start grafting part of a ski hull in and need to modify the building form plus there's a good chance I'm going to be relocating my workshop before I'm done. Could it be flipped with just the side planking done?

Cheers, Greg

Greg

I think that once the side planking is done it will plenty stiff to move.
