I am proud to say that my "Zip" won Platinum and Roberta Hegy's Torpedo won "Silver" this week at the International Antique and Classic boat society Boat show in Alexandria Bay, New York.

Yeah... I won, Platinum. We are now home after a beautiful week on the St. Lawrence Seaway, Thousand Islands area, located at Alexandra Bay, New York. My wife Lynn and I were attending the 2019 International Antique and Classic Boat Society Boat Show. They welcomed 580 members and 151 boats from 30 states, Canada and Italy. The boat that I built is named "Zip" and it was judged. I received the "Platinum Award", the highest honor in my class which was, "Classic Contemporary Outboard".

We made new friends and had a blast in our boat all week long. It was a 16 hour drive towing the boat from Michigan to New York and back but well worth it. What a great way to top off the summer.

Thanks to Kent Smith and Steve Sturtz for the great photos. If you would like to see more, check out WoodyBoater.com

Here is a link on the day they featured my boat.

It was a spectacular week. Sorry we didn't get a chance to get out for a ride Saturday. Needed to get loaded up for an early departure.

CONGRATULATIONS on the ZZZIP! Here's another at the Museum.

Roberta :D :D :D
