Where to start... and how it ends?

Its also technically in the wrong (Small Outboards) forum, as I was first looking at the Tuffy. I still really like the looks of the Tuffy, but I am very happy I chose the Malahini.

August 2012 will be 3 years from the time I first even thought about building a boat.

Canada Day Long Weekend (July 1st) will probably be my 'official' launch party. I've already got my camping spot RSVP'd and just need to verify a few things before I send out invitations.

And while I will miss seeing her in my parking spot every day, I am sure I will be looking for any excuse to float her as often as I can. I think my next 'build' project is going to be a new house (with extra wide garage).

Congratulations Iggy. I hope you get her wet soon. It's June 4 and winter is coming soon up in Canada

Windsheild is ON... after lot of fussing, shimming and cautious swearing. No photo's as it was 10pm before I got it done and its a bit dark.

Engine cover paint job looks pretty good, happy with it.

Still shooting for Saturday, depending on upholstery.

Looks like the upholstery won't be done till a bit after the weekend, so no floating this weekend.

No biggie, the weather wasn't looking all that great either. I will focus on touch-ups and finishing the work on the engine cover.

T minus 10 days.

Ok folks, this should be the last week my boat spends in my garage. Next time you see her, she will be floating and I will be smiling from ear to ear.

However, since I cleaned her up already, and while I am waiting for my upholstery & hull numbers to arrive (next week), here are a few photo's of Old Black Rum for you to enjoy!

C'mon Iggy, you are making me drool. And I only just barely have my boat flipped! But it looks good and you will soon be reaping the reward of all your hard work!

Congratulations!!

Lookin' Good!

"Old Black Rum"... is she named after the Great Big Sea song?
