I needed a tank big enough to test run motors and looked online for something. Well, that something was going to be $2750.00. So I decided to find a less expensive route. A local company packages and ships buld vegetable oil and uses plastic containers. I was able to get a used container that had a small crack in the top for $20. Then a few minutes with a sawzall, another $22 for a half sheet of 3/4" exterior plywood and a few lag bolts and...

I tacked on temporary braces to square it until I cut the final ones.

Or a big washing machine. I just set the agitator in this morning; and I'm waiting for the tub to fill.
BTW my tenant wants to borrow the scaffold for his son and a couple of his friends.

Thew tank I have fits the big V4 motors and I can run them in gear to test the shifting. The scaffold and hoist were an absolute necessity.

Good job on the tank and gantry crane (sorta)

Looks like a good way to test outboards.
