Found this while studying tire options. I had not heard this before. I also found some suggestions that this rule applied across most if not all brands of trailer tires.

Thanks...I run these Goodyear Marathon tires on mine. Since my van gets MUCH better mileage at 65 or under, that is where I normally run. However, if I need to make time or for some reason will be traveling at the limit of 70 (or even 75 in some states) the additional air pressure recommendation is good to know. The thought of hearing that "pop" and riding the whole works into the ditch and rolling over isn't a fun prospect!

Good Info. I'll usually end up towing at 70-73. That's about my cross over between time and cost.
