Cabin Skiff trailer

Postby ramar » Sun Feb 17, 2013 4:27 pm

Its time for me to begin looking for a trailer for my 16' cabin skiff. Anybody have an idea of the final weight of the boat with a 40 hp engine? The plans only mention the hull weight. I wouldnt want to spend much more on a trailer wich is designed for more weight than necessary. Im guessing that it should not be more than 1200#
Thanks

8) this is what is listed as recommended trailer build http://www.boatdesigns.com/Trailer-1200 ... fo/12-301/ for your build if you don't want or don't have the equipment to do so then look for new or used trailers in that range
Don't be afraid to attempt anything. You might surprise your self in the attempt.

My 18' Cabin Skiff is admittedly heavy. If I remember correctly in full operational mode with 12 gallons of gas it weighs about 1300 lbs.
