Bow eye included in Squirt fastening kit

Postby paulrc » Fri Oct 16, 2015 6:29 am

I'm thinking about building a Squirt this winter and looking at the pictures on the Glen-L site I noticed that most of the Squirts don't have a bow eye (tow ring) sooo, I was wondering if the fastening kit included a toe ring, also wondering how the bow of the Squirt is secured to a trailer without a toe ring?

Paul

The fastener kit is usually bronze screws, ring nails and maybe some carriage bolts. Bow eyes are not normally included. I think most people use a bow deck handle on the Squirt and hook to it.

You might find looking at the Customer Photos section of this site helps you see some trailer setups first hand. You can find it on the bottom right of the homepage then go to "S" for squirts. Here is a link to it. http://boatbuilders.glen-l.com/squirt-design/
