Let me throw a little something into the propulsion issue mix. Why don't you get a Minn-Kota trolling motor with a remote and hang it off the bow. I have one and it's not only a great trolling motor but I can sit at the helm and walk the boat sideways. I used it the weekend before last when I got trapped in with boats doubled up in front and back of me at the ramp. I dropped the trolling motor and between the outboard and the trolling motor I went sideways off the dock. I pulled the troller up and drove the boat onto the trailer. The guy in front of me looked at me, laughed and said... "Now that was cool"..

From a maintenance perspective, the outboard will not cost you more, the wieght is around 1/2 of the inboard and if you need to to work on it, it's pretty easy to get to everything without tearing the boat apart. As far as having something hanging off the back.. There's no difference, the prop is still where it would be with an inboard or I/O. You do have to exercise a little more caution with swimmers but after a few prop strikes, they learn to stay out of the way :D

If you decide to go with an outboard, then the Evinrude E-Tec is the motor of the day. I run Merc's but only because I build them from scratch and hot-rod them.

there is a new winterizing system for inboards that makes very fast and easy
thewinterizer.com
the only drawback is installation - if the engine is out - no problem

 well our Jubilee has a name now the boss told me last night what to call her. the boat will be called Wild Flower due to the tow vehicle I bought was a commercial truck and was used for hydro seeding and when I was removing the signage I left the signage for wild flower on the truck she liked the name and told me that is what the boat will be called

 hmm worked on boat some today but starting to run low on epoxy shield I am thinking of switching to epoxy grip to do the frame work I think I read that either can be used as long as I don't mix the hardners up. Off note found a boat grave yard today but the city it is in is making them close down unfortantally they was closed today and didn't get to talk to anybody. also watch out my boss asked for a gun for her birthday so I picked her up a nine mil auto today   :? may be it is a way of telling me she wants the boat done
