Doug..........yes I'm enjoying this project very much....By temporary doing "mock-ups" I can get a good look at what the final product will be...w/o destroying good lumber/materials.....let it be known..I have made some mistakes....even doing Mock-ups....but I feel the results will be wonderful in the end.........We are building this to "use".....so a little extra time now will pay off later...
I got seats being made this week for the aft port/stbd corner seats..to compliment the front seats I now have....
We intend on spending time on the Erie Canal, and Oswego Canal in upstate ny..next summer...this is our boating "Roots"....and we have friends that still boat there...so it should be fun...
Back to work tomorrow....Wayne

its sunday, I took a day off to watch the rain from tropical storm "DEBBIE"......no work today !!!!however my gutters backed up, so in the downporing rain, I put on my rain coat and cleaned them....we have an ongoing problem with pine needles....plugging up the gutters....managed to pick up a used magic tilt trailer last week...looks like new....need to adjust the bunks....
Back to work tomorrow....last week I have the majority of the cabinets made and framed up...now to remove them along with the floors...and paint the balance of the bottom...have 6 qts of grizzley grip left...
I'm going to get rolling on the roof covering next week....I have the trunk cabin roof w/ hatch opening pretty well along.....will get the dash top panel started to tie the w/s opening into the roof....
more pix later next week...........Wayne

today I glued the cabin rear wall/ door framing all together...tied it into the roof aft cross beam...added a reinforcement in upper corners for add'l support for the sliding door track....tomorrow I'll attempt to fair in all roof beams so the roof panel lays flat w/o any hi spots....I have the front roof section all cut to shape....I removed the cabinets/seat bases so I can paint the balance of the floor....ordered cloth and epoxy for the roof....I'll be ready when it comes....

today I finished faring the roof....I had a couple of low areas, so had to use epoxy w/fillers......hopefully this week I can get the fiberglass cloth and epoxy on the roof....and then prep it for paint.....I'm also prepping the inside roof for paint, while between different jobs/steps....running low on epoxy, hope I have enough.........back to work on the windows.....also want to get the inside floors/sides painted....in order to start assembling the interior/fuel/dash-wiring etc.....
looks like the midnight oil will be burning.....Wayne
