Got back from Birmingham and was able to work on Lo Volt once again.
Finished the Beam and seat attachements. Fillets are looking better. Have sanding to do but plan to be ready to turn the boat over in the next few weeks.

I was going to use the E Pod 2000 for the motor. Talked with the company in July and all was well. Went to site to place order for motor and was unable to place it. Company does not return phone calls or respond to e mails. I assume they must be out of business.

Plan B is to use the plans and power with electric motor. Has anyone built this boat with the golf cart motor other than Glen L.?

If you want a proven company in the area of electric propulsion, talk to these folks. They seemed to have stood the test of time. They are not cheap but seem to have a lot of technical answers for me in the past.

You may also put in a call to these folks. You may or may not get an answer from them as they are not always either on the internet or around their phone but ask them about their setup, which has also been dependable as one setup could be and also a really simple inboard drive unit with few switching mechanisms to go wrong.

Talked with EVAmerica. What great people to work with. Seemed to have full grasp and understood the needs for the boat. Infact have a configured system put together ready to order.

Hi Bob! Glad to see you on the Forum--it was nice talking to you on the phone the other day and I understand most of your hardware parts are on the way. I look forward to watching your progress.

Thanks, You are all great with your service and help.

Enjoyed talking with Mr. Whitt(sp?) this afternoon. His insight into the design of the fordeck on the Lo Volt was very helpful.
Will post his thoughts over on the design post.

Thanks one again.
Bob
