Wow, that looks fantastic.
I hope my little zip ends up looking as good.
Have a great 4th July and don't work too hard.

Looking real good.

Are you going to bring it to G6?

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Scott..... It was a pleasure for me to meet up with you again, and also to meet Brad. Please, anytime you get into PHL, feel free to give me a call and come on over. Keep me posted on your anticipated build, and I will look forward to seeing you and your wife at G6.

Dave.... I do plan on taking her to G6, but probably not 100% completed. I have found myself rushing some to get finished, and then I make mistakes. Maybe it is better to take my time and get everything right. She will definately be water ready but maybe missing some of the bling!!! I am not sure if I will be able to get the front seating compartment finished, but there will be room for two or three in the aft one. See you at G6...

Neel

I hesitate to say it, but the boat is just about built.... At least all of the pieces are here. Since my last post, all deck planks have been installed, the transom has been sanded, stained, and sealed. The rear cockpit is ready for stain. The deck and hull need to be finish sanded and then stained, sealed, and varnished. Still shooting for a launch in mid August. I am not going to frame or finish the front cockpit until after G-6. Also, I will need to apply a few more coats of varnish when I get home. Here are some pics I took this morning.....My best to all.....Neel

Have you decided what you are going to use for your decking/plank seams yet?

Thanks Bill.... I am up in the air about the deck seam material. I bought a DVD from Townsend Boat Works showing step-by-step how he does it. He used 3M 4200 fast cure white and it came out really nice. I also like Paul Kane's idea of using a tub and tile caulk from Home Depot. The ultimate for me would be to use epoxy, but I have read that it tends to crack over time. I really like the way Bruce Dow did it with Dap glazing compound mixed with some varnish. As you can see, and to answer your question,,,,, I really don't know what to do with those seams. I think I will put about six coats of varnish on her, take her to G-6 with nothing in the seams, and get everyone's thoughts on the subject... Then we can vote on it !!!!!! Thanks again for the compliment, and as long as she runs, I would love to take you for a ride !!! Neel

Looks excellent Neel. Almost time to put a finish on her. Watch the humidity and stir well.
