Hi :D I need some bronze corner covers for the back of my boat.where do I get them? can you make them your self? I don't know if (corner covers )
are the right name for them.

Not sure if it is what you have in mind but look for woodworking plans and hardware for corners for chests.

Not the top side the whole corner where the transom meets the side frames........top to bottom.

Unless I'm mistaken, these protective pieces ( similar to the "cutwater" at the bow...see Roberta's build ) are fabricated out of stainless steel to fit.

They're called transom bands, not cast normally but made of sheet metal. u can get brass sheet and make what u need. traditionally 18 gauge (.050) thick. google transom bands - images, u'll see some.

U mentioned bronze, i don't know if u can buy bronze sheet. Alot of boat hardware is cast bronze and is why i thought u might thinking having the parts "cast". Again good luck. cutwaters.com

Google brass sheet metal. One thing with brass u can't weld it, u have to solder the 2 haves together. It's kinda a dyeing art now like copper gutter work. Traditional cutwaters were made of 18 gauge stock .050".

thanks,i don't need it welded just bent.........have a friend that can do it.he wants to polish it and clear coat it,i don't want that it will look better dull.
