Wow - what a great looking craft. I'm new to this game, but your build progress is really getting me fired up to start my own. Keep up the great work. Not long now. Ever so close.

Thanks,

Have now finished the seating and side fabrication of the cockpits. Will now work on the finer details like floor hatch to get access to the shaft log etc.

Tom,

Will be a storage shelf, just for the likes of sunglasses etc. I have younger kids and this will give them somewhere to store there stuff and not rolling around on the floor.

It will be covered in carpet.

You got it Peter!!

Reckon I could get nearly a carton along that shelf and room to pack some ice around it!

We have set a date for the completion and I am in the process of getting a trailer at the moment. (Not telling anyone in case it changes)!! it wont though as I am full steam ahead and have full financial funding from the other half to get it done. (Wife want to start using it).

Having some fun with regards to trailer and axel placement. I am looking at an Easy Tow trailer and they seemed a bit unsure on the best way to work out the axel placement (This is why I was going through professionals to works all this out for me)

I have the trailer plans at home and will see what they state on there, any advise on positions Peter?

HI Jamie
The centre of my axles sits directly below the rear face of the engine block. This gives me 9% on the ball. Considering that your rig will be operated in warm salty water give some thought to aluminium trailers. Also extendable draw bars are a must as the trailer has to go a lot further out for the boat to float off and you want to keep the tow vehicle out of the briney. I can extend 900 and 1800mm. Having built my own trailer I pay particular attention to professionally built trailers and I like the ones produced by "Spitfire Aluminium Trailers" They are at Coomera on the Gold Coast in behind Dreamworld. Their axles are of the torsional type and are adjustable for location so you can set up your own position once the boat is complete and on the trailer.
Regard
Alan

Hi Peter,

All good where we are mate, it is about 4 hours north of us although we still got around 1100mm of rain over a couple of weeks.

This meant I got a few early days and got to work on the boat a bit more!

Have fabricated all the insides of the cockpits and today made the foot rest and front storage area. Now to pull it all out and epoxy everything
Exhaust tips are ready this week and gauges are on there way along with all the hardware.

Placing an order tomorrow with easy tow for a trailer.

Some more parts for the build,
Quite a few things turning up in the mail now.
I picked up my switch panel today, absolutely stoked with how it looks, has blue LED light when the button is on.

Build is on target for an official launch mid year
