Well guys I gave away my monsoon project about a month ago. Just realized I was in way over my head...Actually I traded it for a tune up on my golfcart that we use at the lake. Instead I am restoring a boat (72 cruisers inc. 22 ft cuddy) that is very similar to what the Monsoon would have been had I finisherd her. I want to thank those that encouraged my folly and answered my questions. Good luck to all.

Yeah, that Monsoon looks like quite a project, especially for a first build.
Although it feels like you should have gotten a little more than just a cart tune-up out of it.

Anyway, good luck with your new restore project!

But Bill the new (project) boat is fiberglass...however I am covering all the topsides and transome with a 3-m product called di-noc fw 888 which is basically station wagon woodgrain in a mohogany pattern. The upside is she should see the water by memorial day. Maybe I could call it faux-berglass.
