Hey fellaz.... I know there might not be much love for this boat but heres a lil update on my flats flyer anyways.... She's close to being done .... i think :D

Thinkin about a 250HP on that transom.... Wot do u think?

For those that built this boat... have you installed the aluminum L bars on the bottom? How does the boat handle at higher speeds?

Cheers
Zane...

I think that's way too much weight for a flats boat, unless you're not actually using it to fish the flats with

Correct, and let me add that I think you're doing a great job on the boat so far.

Hey Z-Wood, have you finished the flyer? I'm interested in building the same model. Can you please post some more pics of your boat? Do you have some detailed pics of your work in progress? What kind of paint did you use for the top? I like the texture..

tnx

Hello!

I'm planning to buy this plan, and i'd like to ask, if You've built it in standard length, or you've stretched it? It seems to me, that both Your, and Steve Miller's boat are longer than the 18.5" regular size. Thanks!

Hi guys

Theres more pics of the almost finished boat in the Launching ramp section... viewtopic.php?f=37&t=16022

Anyways for the top i used gel coat and sprinkled anti skid stuff... waiting till all dried up then hit it with a roller vey light last coat.

I stretched the boat to 20 feet.

I would definitely recommend spray rails and guide rails no matter what engine power ur gonna use ;)

Cheers
