Can anyone tell me the diemensions of the build form they made for their crackerbox?

I'd like to get started on in before my plans arrive and i need the distance between the uprights so that the don't foul on the frames.

Can anyone tell me the frame spacings?

Time.

Time,,,, I am not sure about the Cracker Box, but the Gentry plans have the building form height way too low. Make sure they are high enough so you can sneak under to clean up glue drips, etc. I think I made mine about six or eight inches higher than called for. It will also save your back a little while sanding and bending boards during construction.....Neel

Also worth thinking about stretching the boat 10% bigger if you are putting in a gearbox." I know some people around here don't heed this advice"

Thanks Guys,

Yes i'll be making the build form higher than the design. I've got my build form from my last boat that i'll modify. for this one.

When spacing the frames:

I definatley want to use teh 10% extra length.

If i space the frames at 28.5" (+10% frame gap) not 26" that gives me 192.5"= 16ft
If I Space the Frames at 30" not 26" that gives me 200" = 16ft 7in which is 2 inches longer than a true 10% increase of the overall design length.

How critical will the additional 2 inches be? will i be breaking some rule by not striclty ad hearing to the 10% theory?

180 inches is the origional design length
200 inches is my desired length. Which represents a length change of 20 inches or 11.1%

Time.
