Building a boat is impressive, but building a plane? I think that would scare the crap out of me.
Nah, building an airplane is not scary........however, test flying it for the first time gives you a bit of increased "pucker factor"

Yes Roberta, as you know, both of the these builds are the tops in their fields.

One criticism...get a better C&C...chair and cooler,you'll need 'em!!!

This old five gallon bucket has done be well over 2.5 airplane builds. It's just uncomfortable enough to get me up off my arse and back to building and not just beer drinking in the shop

And I thought I have a lot to do. Criminy - your mind must be going in overdrive.
Dave, I'm a CPA so my mind is on full tilt 8+ hours a day, working in the shop is my get away. My father was an devout aviation buff but never experienced the thrill of piloting. He was however, my first passenger when I got my license. He did build a cabin cruiser from plans he got from Popular Mechanics in the early 60's.....so, it seems quite natural that it's time for a boat build!!

Second time in a year that I am a bit lost for words........

Oyster, since I am new to this forum.....I'm a bit lost as to what brought about your first loss of words.....just hope I don't have you shaking your head in disbelief for some of the stupid things I do while bending the learning curve in boat building

Dana, nice to see you here. Will it be Black Magic 2?
Nah Vlad, Black Magic is a one off paint scheme...she is now owned by a retired Space Shuttle Commander...now that is a little intimidating to know a guy who has piloted a Space Shuttle is flying an airplane I built in my garage, basement, hangar
