I am in the long probly several year process of building the cruise missle. I would like to know if anybody has any input on the cost difference in the long run for such a large project. I have done alot of research and it seems the more expensive items are the resin and pvc rigid foam. Any input would be great. Thanks

I purchased a 5 gal of vinyl ester to refurbish my Sweet Caroline 20'. The price was marginally better than fiberglass resin and it is a little easier to use. All said and done very similar product but the vinyl has a little more working time and takes a little longer to set up. IE it is a bit more rubbery...if that makes sense. Seems to remain tacky for a bit longer. Have laid a bunch of fiberglass cloth with it and it has worked very well but I should mention I am in Phoenix where it is hot and dry. If you have time to let it set before sanding it is great.
I purchased it from a local boat builder that produces hand made speed boats, pickleforks etc. with 1000+ horsepower engines and he uses it exclusively. Best of luck!
