Howdy Matt, good to hear from you! I can't remember well enough to tell you much about how I did the intermediate deck beam but here's a couple of pictures that show the beam in place. I do remember the blocking wasn't real pretty and I used a lot of epoxy and quik-faire; but you don't see it, and there's not a lot of stress or weight on this member. I put the hatch in mainly for the grandkids - this almost ended the build because while doing this I caught my thumb in my router
but I only lost about the top half inch of it, just a setback of a couple weeks.
My build is coming along. Right now my boat is at the Evinrude dealer getting her new 90hp e-tec installed. For the warranty it's required the dealer installs it. I've never had an outboard. I was considering either Mercury or Evinrude - the evinrude is 70lbs lighter than the 90hp merc, and it's made in Wisconsin which I like. It looks way smaller sitting next to the Merc. And I'm very happy with this dealer. Can't wait to see how fast she goes!
When I bring it home next step will be the windshield and seats. I think it'd be a great trip to go to the Gathering this fall. Bob
