Doug, those wooden frames are gorgeous. I would like to have something like that on mine, but am worried my woodworking skills might not be up to it. Guess it won't hurt to try though. :D :D :D

Got the trailer rebuild finished today and the Gentry loaded for her photo required for licensing. Finally good to see her outside and get a look at all her little flaws. She will definitely get a new paint job on the deck area.
One thing I did do that has really pleased me was to install a trailer hitch on the front of the truck. After several attempts to back the trailer in to the shop/garage with 2" clearance, I gave up and went this route. It is unbelievably easy to set the trailer right where you want it. Would work wonders for you out there getting around difficult turns in to your shop. (Roberta?)

Now you tell me after I spent 20 grand for a bigger garage door. Looking great, Slug.

Doug, she looks stunning in the sun. And it appears that you have weather possibly conducive to boating.

She looks great Doug. Another Gentry is born... Now in September, hook her up to the rear hitch and head to Tennessee !!!

Beautiful! Really love the contrast between the blue paint and wood.

Managed to get the Gentry in the water and running today, but too winy to take her off the trailer. (large clumps/islands of bullrush floating by!)
Ran the engine for about an hour and did some adjustments. Will need some more tweaking but sounds real good.....love that cam lump!

Hey Doug - just catching up on your build now, but man is that a nice build. I love how you made the wheel, etc yourself...and the wooden window mounts! Really, really nice stuff. I'm just a little west of you in Toronto, and would love to see it in person / talk a bit more about fabricating stuff like steering wheel, shifters, and even gauges... do you boat around Lake Ontario or more up by Peterborough / The Kawarthas?

(I'm working on a Rampage and will be doing most of the "hardware" like steering, gauges, controls, etc this summer...and would like to do something similar to what you did in terms of make them all myself!)

Thanks,

Denon

Denon; We'll be at the ACBS show at Gravenhurst on Saturday July 8. Possibly we'll see you there (weather permitting).

Hi Doug,

I'll be at the show on July 8th for sure - I'll swing by and say hi! Do you know if any other Glen-L boats will be there?
