What engine is that?
Atomic-4 ??
Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

Kens, The engine is a 1954 Gray Marine Phantom 4-62. Its had some work done to it, should put out at least 65 HP @ 3600 RPM now.

Thx all for the kind comments. I will be picking up more white oak tomorrow for deck battens and looking into a custom fuel tank from carr enterprises in Florida.

Good progress this weekend. Cockpit coming is in. Engine hatch opening is framed out and hatch is done. Also installed the lift points and rudder support bracket. Deck battens are next.

very nice fit. might need a flexible fuel filler tube to match the deck angle ...did you go with the Carr Ent tank?

billy c, fuel fill is 2" alum. pipe. The threaded flange on top of tank is welded at the same angle as the aft deck. The tank is from Carr enterprize.
