Any ideas on this boat

Postby Ozzieboat » Fri Sep 04, 2015 4:37 pm

A friend here in Australia has just bought an old wooden speed boat, but it's make cannot be identified. Even the registration papers show is as "Homemade". It does resemble an Audeen, but the vertical edge of the transom angles the opposite way. Can anyone give some distinguishing particulars of the design that may confirm one way or the other if it is an Audeen.

Yep, she looks like an Audeen but without a few more pics I can't be sure. I finished mine in 2011. My wife and I use it regularly. Just put it to bed for the winter. Wonderful boat, but can be wet if the water is a bit rough.

Cheers

You know that you're having a good day when you don't accidently drill a hole through the bottom of your boat !

It has spray rails. That should make it a little drier. I'd need more pictures to try and make a call.

It seems to have more bow rake than the Audeen. Might be a Bonanza.
