If I recall, you are launching in Monterey, correct?
If the dates work, I'd love to witness that event. Haven't been to the coast in about year anyway--be a nice getaway.

Hi Andy,

We're launching in Stockton (shortest distance) and will then drive down the San Joaquin through the Delta to our berth in Alameda. Still in a holding pattern for transport... will update when I get an ETA. We'd be pleased to have you visit.

Trust all is well with you...

Regards,

Steve

The window for the move has been pushed back to 10/16... the cross country transport from Florida to San Diego for the truck we'll be using has been delayed due to snags in highway patrol escort across state lines. :?

Hello Steve,

The patience you're displaying is really quite extraordinary!

Regards,
Alan

Perhaps it's only exceeded by the skill your photos have shown!!!

Thanks Alan... we're getting a chance to tie up some loose ends while we wait. At least the sanding is pretty much done!

Billy, I think next week should be it... although still haven't heard more from transport folks re: CHP escort. The first 800' or so (gravel drive uphill) to pavement will be a challenge!

Still waiting for CA to set escort date for move... the route has been approved but permits are still pending :? .

Here's a look at the bottleneck for the trailer to get on the road. Our width is 15'6" so we're OK there but height will be about 17'6" on the trailer so may need to lift the power lines a bit...
I was worried about the right turn at the gate but looks like it will work if we take it wide.

Still getting the last details wrapped up... found a slow leak in the steering cylinder so need to troubleshoot.
