Thanks, Guys!! My Thumb is up for you as well!!!

A lot of people asked me "what's next?" Right now I'm finally cleaning all the dust in our house I created when I built this boat.

If there were any people at this show that had not heard of Glen-L, they will most likely never forget the name again. These 2 boats are absolutely beautiful. Of course, Roberta's award is well deserved and her torpedo is amazing. However, the lack of an award for the Bonnie Dean has to be an oversight. The finish on the Bonnie Dean is so beautiful that there should be an award just for that. My wife and I wanted to meet Dean and find out about that finish but he was mobbed by spectators.

Hats off to these 2 boat builders!

I got to the show early enough on Friday to get to talk to both Roberta and Dean. You are right, people will definately know the Glen-L name after seeing their boats.
I did talk to Dean about the judging and when he registered, he chose not to be judged.

A side note for the Minnesota people. Dean usually shows his boat at the ACBS Boat show in White Bear Lake the last week of June.
The show is smaller, and Dean has more time to talk.

Congratulations on the award Roberta and it's great to see you and Dean getting some recognition and making more people aware of our side of the hobby. The Chris Crafts, Lymans, Hackers, and others are nice, but I feel building one of these beauties is where it's really at.

Wow! Four for 4--that's great, Roberta! So proud of you and all of you Glen-L builders. We can't express enough our appreciation to each of you for being ambassadors for Glen-L. Thank you all so much!

There is one thing we must all say to you, Roberta. And that is that you have really raised the bar on what non-professional boat builders can do in their own backyards, garages and basements. I remember when this forum was still in its infancy and kinda shaky as far as member participation. At that time, no one even really knew how to get that Chris Craft look with the feature lines between the mahogany planks.

Now look where we are and your boat, Roberta, is a first class example!!
Isn't it amazing!! The person that never has the fortitude to pursue his own dreams, will be the first to try and discourage you from pursuing yours.
