This is my workbench:

The bench is made of all Doug Fir 2x4s, except for the vertical drawer separator.

The sliders are for the drawers, which aren't finished.
And in case you are concerned about racking, I have had good luck with the joint pictured below. I think it is called a Roubo joint, and is the joint connecting the leg to the top.

Since we are showing off workbenches: Mine is a Paul Sellers design made of walls studs finished with Watco danish oil. I have a Wilton quick release vise from ebay. I love the bench and vise. It can do it all.
