Geronimo's windshield bracket

Postby bobinpowayca » Wed Jul 05, 2017 7:34 am

Howdy, I've seen a few folks have used the Lake Shore castings aluminum windshield brackets - I just got mine and have a question. As you can see in the photos, on the center brackets, when you line up the screws the forward post sits lower than the rear post. Even when you back out the supplied bolts to the furthest out position, the forward and rear posts don't line up. I thought I would check with anyone who has used these before I call Lakeshore to see if I'm missing something here - either the foundry misaligned the holes, or I'm not seeing something in the way they go. Thanks for any thoughts - Bob.

Your fine, Mine were the same. I had to buy longer screws to accommodate the 1/4" glass.

Thanks a lot Matt! I really didn't think an old company like that would make a mistake that's why I checked the forum :D So what did you use to mount the glass - for the gaskets, bottom, etc? Bob
