:( That's a bummer -Ray as I had your blog set up as a short-cut on my laptop so i could easily get on so as to see construction of your boats and see adventure photos.

It really sucks to lose all the valuable photos in the threads. I have lost many through various services that started out to be free. Using the Glen L upload is the best way for this forum.

If the Glen-L forum would display as an inline attachment with modern HTML syntax insertion, I'd agree. But a sideways / upside-down thumbnail doesn't cut it IMO.

It's very generous of Glen-L to host this forum and be willing to store our pictures on their servers, but I don't think there's any denying that this forum uses a very old version php, and honestly could benefit from a good upgrade. But that takes a developer, time, money, maintenance.....

I have never had an issue posting pictures from my computer or my phone. This is a free forum set up by Glen L, who bears the cost. I belong to another forum that asks for annual contributions and does not work as well. There, besides contributing, you still need a host service.

My blog is back on line with the photos but what a pain. The problem I have with this forum is getting the photos where I want them. Maybe it is different now but the last time I tried it simply placed the photos at the bottom of the post. Often I want text, then a photo, then text and another photo. Couldn't do it then. Is that now available. (Then again, maybe I just didn't know what I was doing!!)

Ray
I think that option is out there. I just don't know how to do it. I guess I'm getting old.

I think if you place in line you can text a paragraph between the pictures. Here is one of the pirates that invaded us at G9

Put the cursor where you want to place the picture in your post. You can add text anywhere you want.

Thanks Roberta,
Let me give it a try. Don't have many photos on my laptop I take in the boat.

OK, looks like I just didn't know what I was doing. Missed the "PLACE INLINE" box. Need to Attach the photos and then place the cursor where you want the photo and then press the Place Inline box for that attachment.

Thanks again!!!

You don't see it until the picture is downloaded. Then when you click on the button your photo code is placed in the text area. Photos are visible after post is submitted.
