Cutting Exhaust Hose Question

Postby Jimbob » Mon Aug 14, 2017 3:10 pm

Here is yet another question for you all.
I got my 4" Shieldsflex exhaust hose the other day. It has wire reinforcement. I am wondering the most accurate way to cut the stuff. Chop saw with a metal blade? Hacksaw ( i'm not so good at cutting straight )? Sharp knife followed with side cutters for the wire?
Your ideas will be appreciated as usual.

I used a zip cut wheel in my angle grinder. Messy but works good.

I used a utility razor knife for the rubber, and an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel for the wires. Side cutters didn't work. That's some tough wire!
