I'm using pvc pipe for my drain tubes ...can I use epoxy to seal and glue them in?

I'm doubting that epoxy will stick to PVC. It doesn't bond well to most plastics. Maybe 3M 4200 is a better choice?

I've seen people do it with epoxy but only after roughing up the epoxy with a coarse grit sandpaper paper to ensure a good mechanical bond. Even with a good mechanical bond though, im not certain it would prevent all water intrusion.

Epoxies don't adhere well to many plastics because these surfaces are too smooth to allow a mechanical bond. One of the Gougeon Brothers' User Guides recommends cleaning the pipe with the correct cleaner for that type of pipe and applying a thin coating of ABS/PVC cement. Once the cement has completely dried, apply the epoxy over it.
