Looks good! Still looking for my "like" or "+1" button since I have nothing to add, just admiring your work.

Six of nine frames encapsulated with two coats of epoxy resin and transom with three coats. I only coated the surfaces that will not be glued to something else later on. Now on to warmer weather till March. Happy New Year everyone..... Neel

Hey Neel; You go man. I've dreamed of building the Palm Beach for years and finally I purchased the same plans you got. I got the digital plans and they cost me $250 for them to be printed on paper. After several months of deliberating, I finally chose to hold on to them and bought the Malahini plans and am building that as my first boat. Glad i did.
So, i will be interested in seeing how your build goes. Good luck. I hope I can build one in the future.
:)

I think you've made a wise decision. The PB is not a first timer boat. Neel is an excellent builder for sure. The Malahini is a good choice. We had several at the Gathering (You should come.). They are nice looking and run great.

Tom,,,, I also am happy you chose to build the Malahini first. You could probably build one of Glen-L's inboards with no problems using their plans, but the plans for the PB 22 are very hard to figure out without some instructions. I am sure I will be referring to my Gentry plans and instructions many times as I progress. I have been in Florida since 1/1 and have had a lot of time to study the plans. So much is not there!! For instance, the CB or CG of the boat is not shown anywhere. The "down angle" and drop for the strut, the rudder placement, and the method used to attach the frames to the stringers are not there either along with many other things that I need to know. My head hurts !!! So I wish you the best of luck with your build and as Bill requested, we hope to see you in September in TN..... Neel

Thanks. I would love to come to one of these boat shows as well as I have friends and family there. It's also when we go to the keys. We will see.

Frames are looking good! You can imagine the lines with them all stacked up!

March is here and I am back in town.... I ordered mahogany to finish frames one to three. We arrived in PA on Saturday and found some snow on the ground and two trees down. Not really sure why we left 80 degree weather in FL for this !! They are predicting 8 to 12 inches of snow tomorrow so I plan on locking myself in the workshop building boats until it melts....

That sound like a good plan Neel. They are saying we're getting up to 16" here. I would do the same as you, but I'm sure I'll have some crazy patients that insist on coming in.

Neel, you provided a good laugh for Rosemary and me this evening. Building a boat sounds like a great way to spend a snowy day. Glad to see you back in PA safe and sound, and really looking forward to following your progress.
