Stitching: Along Keel From Outside or Inside

Postby Walt's CS » Thu May 17, 2007 12:41 pm

Preparing to stitch up my Console Skiff. The building guide says stitch on the inside going to about 5' forward of the transom. From this point aft, stitching should be on outside of hull. Now, the guy in the "Building the Console Skiff" appears to be stitching on the inside, moving forward right from the transom. Which way should I do it?

I hate to overthink this thing, but it seems to me you would want ALL the stitching done from the outside, since the keel runs up the inside middle, right over your twisted wires(?)

It doesn't really matter. I just followed the building instructions.
