I don't know what you are gonna power it with, but the Ski King will go 48 mph at 4400 rpm, with a 13X13 3 blade...My motor pencil's out at about 230 hp(.060 over 283), and I haven't tried any other prop, because It come out of the hole so hard, now....You boat should be a little lighter than mine...Dwain, the SKIIIIIIIIII KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGG......

Now that she was out in the open I was able to step back and have a look at it from all angles something I could not do when it was under the cover as it too close to the walls, well I'm not happy with the finish the :( the few cloudy bits in the cloth "and there are a few" are going to drive me mad so I'm going to sand the lot back to the wood and down as far as the water line and do it again if I have to I will make the waterline a bit thicker to hide any marks from the join. It's a good job I love sanding fiberglass :D NOT
I'm thinking of giving peel ply a go has anyone any pros or cons on it.

Two coats of epoxy and two of varnish "boy do I hate sanding between coats" but I might do one more :D I hope to fit the engine in the next week or so :D

Your work is very neat and clean...very impressive. Yeah, sometimes you just have to know when to stop! Everytime you touch it you make it better....until that last time when you make it worse! I would hate to hide that work with a deck...just put a plexiglass cover on it!!!

I don't think i would be able to concentrate on my driving while looking at the engine spinning around next to my legs through a plexi deck

Back to a proper engine :D I'm just doing a dry fit to make sure everything lines up.

Don't drop please don't drop

Image

Went in fine and spot on with the shaft, boy it looks big when your sitting behind it  The risers are a bit higher than the deck beams that were in the plans so I will have to make up new ones with a bigger curve, I did price some nice low risers but they are silly money.

Brummmm Brummmmm

That's a mighty big lump just beyond your feet! It should be scary fast. Based on your Malahini videos, I imagine you'll catch maximum air out on that water :D
