I finally had more than two people in my flying saucer and here's the results:

With Two people (320 lbs total passengers)
23mph by gps @ WOT

With Three People (500 lbs total passenger )
No GPS, but got up on a plane ~15 MPH but motor was struggling @ low RPM

With 4 People (650lbs total passengers)
Could not get up on a plane, and motor really struggling. Low speed cruising was fine ~6 mph, but not very fun :(

I may consider re-propping but for now I think i'll just go out with my dog and my wife :-)

Yeah, I guess so...I'm just a little upset that I can barely handle the chop on a reservoir and I don't have much room for a cooler either.

We'll see how it goes this summer up at Folsom Lake and Lake Sonoma, but I'm just worried when the lake is full of skiers, I won't be having too much fun.

Bill,

Welcome to the wonderful world of "two-ft-itus". Obviously, you need a bigger boat! Every 2 years, two more feet. I started with a 13 ft Tuffy, and 40 years later I've got a 27 footer (OK, I guess that isn't quite a foot a year, is it - no wait - I've got both the Regal 27 PLUS a 12 ft Squirt..that's real close to 40 feet!)

Peace,

TRM
