Hi everyone:
Does anyone knows where I can get a set of plans to build someting like a Chesapeake Deadrise bay boat using modern techniques ? Plywood over frame.
I've been reading in other forums and found many members saying " PW and Glassing have nothing to do with a Deadrise boat " " There is not truth Deadrise under 38' " " at their times were build from experience, not from plans ", and I know that's all truth. I don't mean to hurt the feeling for tradition, I wounder if somebody took the time to designe someting closer to the Deadrise boats around 28-33 foot lengt, hard chine , flat aft, conservative power plant.
I recently have the oportunity to ride in one of this old machine, I love the ride, but hate so much maintenance. I 've been thinking on a boat like the "33' Pot Luck - lobster boat", but with hard chine and a littler less draft.

Thanks
Kiton

I haven't had the book open for years, but I believe you will find the lines and a table of offsets for a deadrise in Howard I. Chapelle's book
"Boatbuilding A complete handbook of wooden boat construction". Originally published in 1941. I would be willing to bet that Glen read it . . .

The Double Eagle stretched 10% will get you to 25'-4". You might be able to add a frame. Kens left off the skeg and it still runs great. She's not flat at the transom, just a shallow Vee.

I am sorry for not been following my own post, I 've been too busy since last month working and just last week my mother in law ( 80 years old )had a hip transplant due to a fracture at home. She's now on re-hab' doing better.
I know there are few probabilities to find what i am looking for, so , you bet I will check that book asap, the link took me to a dead end, but don't worry, I 'll get in way or the other.
Thanks u all.
