I purchased a boat with the plan to restore but it was too bad to save so I salvaged the Mahogany. Plans changed and I built a desk. I did have to go to the mill and buy the Maple for the dovetail drawers. The boxes were made from 3/4" birch ply, the top was 3/4" sapele ply banded with the boat mahogany.
I am very happy with the power supply channel located under the desktop.
I cleaned up the trailer and sold it on Craigslist to recoupe my expenses.
My wife is happy and so am I.

Looks great!! Is your computer behind the door? If yes, what did you do for cooling? Working on an office right now as well

Great job Ted!
Now that's turning lemons into lemonade.
I had to laugh when you put this post in Design Modifications. This is more than a modification, this is a major alteration.
