squirt modification please help

I have a jack plate going on my squirt because I can not find a short shaft motor in my area I have beefed up the transom for this now my motor is a 35 hp 2 stroke thoughts if its to big or the weights of four strokes people are using I have flotation foam should I use it ?

Brad,

Our Squirt is designed for up to 10 hp. Obviously, it was designed for a 2-stroke, but there are lightweight 4 strokes that are fine. People do put a lot more horsepower on this design than we would recommend. In your case, you're moving the motor even further aft with the jack plate. You may have performance issues. Flotation foam won't make the boat more buoyant but will add more weight.

what performance issues you think would come off this to much weight in the back of the boat ?

I suspect it will porpoise badly with that much weight on the back.

Mojo is correct--would probably be pretty squirlley too.
