Lengthening the Aqua Cat

Postby vulbus » Thu May 19, 2016 11:48 am

I have been contemplating building an Aqua Cat for awhile and I love everything about it except for its length. I realize that there is the Wildcat but I do not find its lines appealing.

The description says that the Aqua Cat cannot be lengthened. Does anyone know what it is about the Aqua Cat design that does not allow its hull to be lengthened? For my uses, I feel that the Aqua Cat with a 20 foot hull would be ideal.

Thank you in advance for your input and patience with a boat building novice.

Not many Cat builders here so my advice would be to follow the designer's plan.

vulbus,

The reason for not lengthening our Hell Cat, Jet Can and Aqua Cat has to do with the relation between the length of the boat and the tunnels. It isn't as simple as just making it longer.
