measurements for Kawasaki 550 jet pump intake

Postby Kiwicanfly » Thu Nov 01, 2012 1:39 am

Hi I have a framed squirt ready to install my jetpump. I have not been able to buy a complete ski but have been lucky in buying a very good pump from a 550 kawa. Can any one give me the measurements to build an intake and pump housing?
I would like to start building while I wait to buy a shaft and bearing housing from ebay. Jet ski pumps and parts are very difficult to locate here in New Zealand. Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give.

Welcome to the Forum ! I can't help you with the intake and pump housing dimensions, but if you haven't seen them already, here are some photos and links
to Terry McIntyre's sketch of a bearing bulkhead that he designed to support the drive shaft and form the front of the jet pump tunnel :

I Hope this helps !

:D Thank you for the information. I have followed Terry McIntyre's build over the years with great interest. Now I have the means and time to build I can no longer find all the detailed information Terry shared with the group durring his build. What you have given me is a great help.
