I was wondering what you guys do with your old hulls.
i was thinking of finding a way to hook up a trolling motor to a couple batteries and have an electric boat as a toy.

After all, looking from up here everything changes, shifts, unimpresses.
Looking from up here everything seems smaller.

I have herd of some who use chain saws on them to cut them up to get rid of them but you could always try and sell the hull after you got what you wanted from themBillybob wrote:I was wondering what you guys do with your old hulls.

Don't be afraid to attempt anything. You might surprise your self in the attempt.

Chain Saw, Skill Saw and a dumpster and about 2 weeks of time putting it in the dumpster (2 loads so you don't get the garbage collector mad.
Been there, done that.

Re: Idea's for our hull carcasses
You could probably patch the area where the jet was, rip the top off, fill the hull with foam, and mount a trolling motor on it.
Something like this maybe with a trolling motor and leaning post for fishing (busy day at work

Re: Idea's for our hull carcasses
Don't even need to cut it. The rub rail seperates the cap joint. staples, or rivits usually hold the 2 halves togther. Remove those and lift.. Still that removes structure which would need to be re added
Re: Idea's for our hull carcasses
Three bulkheads with deck battens and foam would probably be alright for the inside, and then maybe 1/4 ply on top with fiberglass overhang on the sides?
Re: Idea's for our hull carcasses
Yeah, that would probably work.
Re: Idea's for our hull carcasses
Just found these on Craigslist, $950 for both of them including the tailor. Here's the link (http://kalamazoo.craigslist.org/boa/4097458152.html) and I'll post some pics from the listing.

Pretty cool
