Jet/Water Pump Size

Post by FDMSIV » Wed Sep 05, 2007 10:23 pm

I know there isn't just one answer to this, but what is the smallest transverse distance a water pump system will fit into?

I am currently building the Aqua Cat and I was day dreaming about installing twin jets, one in each demi hull.

I think that jet/pump powered catamarans are going to begin to show up more and more

It is not just the pump but the motor mounts have to fit down into that part of the hull also. The space needed is from 18-19'' between motor mounts for the 650 kawasaki the 750 is the same block so it is same.

You would have to have some drive pully or belts to raise the motor up out of the narrow sponson on the cat.

The pumps them selves are prety narrow 6-7'' for the 650.
