Dynojet motor

Post by flabio » Sat Feb 09, 2008 5:18 pm

I am planning on building a dynojet boat this winter. I found a 1100cc jet ski motor and pump in great shape will this fit?

A little late on the reply --

engine fitment is mostly dependent upon the length of the front of the motor to the transom. The Dyno Jet has approximately 41" inches to accomodate the engine, driveshaft and impellar (which isn't as much room as it sounds) You see a lot of guys on here install the pump so it hangs out of the transom quite a bit. There have been some performance issues noted with this install, mostly porposing while others have had great sucess.

In my case I took a 650cc motor from a Kawasaki X2, grabbed a driveshaft from a Kawasaki TS and used the original X2 Pump. This shortened the overall driveline around 12"
Both the below websites detail my build progress.
