I am getting to the point where I might actually consider possibly doing a shakedown on the jet Squirt. I have the SeaDoo 580 white motor and have removed the oil injection and am running premix.

Question is: Do I still need the oil tank for lubrication of other components of the engine - mainly the bottom end - or can I axe the entire setup? I have little to no knowledge of these motors but I do have the manual.

Thanks,

KB

I don't know the correct answer to the question, but someone at the following link should. They cover a lot of PWC's and it quite active.

Once you switch to premix all that plumbing can leave.
Just be sure you have capped off all possible vacuum leaks on the intake, or you will get a lean run, and squeak it. Secondly be sure you have plugged the impulse/case-pressure line to the pump.

The bottom end is lubed by fuel/air intake charge.

What about lubrication for the rotary valve in the SeaDoo? The lines seem to supply oil to the rotary valve?

Any thoughts?
