Additional Logistics

Postby Bill Edmundson » Thu Aug 19, 2010 6:25 pm

From the beginning, I said the pavilion was smaller than we've had. It is about 36'x24'. I think it has plenty of electrical power and lights.

I'm going to look over what tarps and PVC pole I have to extend the covered area, any help. We need to see how many picnic tables Hales Bar can get up there for us.

I have my 10'x10' pop up camp/tailgater's shelter I'll bring. These things are GREAT. They set up in all of 45 seconds. If anyone else has any, they could be set up side by side for the food or something and then we wouldn't be taking up precious space elsewhere. Just a thought......

David B just called me back.

There is plenty of power available at the pavilion.

There is a shortage of picnic tables. I've a couple of big folding tables, if I can figure out how to get them on top of the Explorer.(Hey! Wait a minute... I have a shop crane :!:  )

A folding chair or two may be in order, too.

I'll throw a few chairs & table in the truck.

I've got a 10'x20' tarp and a 16'x20' tarp. I'll get 6 PVC poles and we add 520
sq. ft. to the pavilion.

It will work folks!

I have 4 - 8 foot tables. But, mine aren't plastic. So, I think I can only handle 2. We are getting close to what we need, probably 2 or 3 more. We don't all sit at the same time anyway. This is not a formal dinner.

Bill,
How are fixed for extension cords? I also have some small squirrel cage air blowers. You think we might need them? We had ceiling fans at the pavilion at Guntersville.

I don't remember looking up to see if there was a fan or not. There was snow on the ground that day. There is power. But, an extension cord or two might be handy. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

Thanks,
Bill

Do we have, or need, a fire pit? And what fire wood, do we need any?

I don't think we'll need a fire pit this year. See the weather thread.
